Brian van der Kust
Brian van der Kust was born and educated in Paramaribo, Surinam and also educated in Holland. In Surinam he started to dance and appreciate a wide variety of good music from an early age. His dance background is wide and deep, starting with Afro (the roots) and carry on to modern and all the hypes of these days. His style is inspirational smooth and energetic. The first 4 years Brian took classes in modern and classic ballet, modern jazz, video jazz, tap jazz, Fusion Jazz, Afro-Cuban jazz, Rumba, Mambo, Salsa and more...... He Also did some TV commercials and soap opera’s.Brian is a salsa teacher with a very unique fusion style. During the years Brian has performed on television and stage, from appearances with David Sanchez, Oscar d'Leon, Tito Puente at the North Sea Jazz Festival to War Child and various prestigious venues around Europe and the rest of the world.
As an instructor, performer and choreographer Brian enjoys every way of movements and also seeing people having fun on the dance floor.
Brian is a very humble and humoristic person. He loves to have nice and creative people around him. He is very easy to work with and eager to learn, but also eager to support encourage other people and help them to develop their dance skills. When it comes to teaching and performances he is a stylist and a perfectionist.
